Albert Iglesias D.V.M
Dr. Iglesias is a Miami native of Cuban/Dominican descent and a Miami Senior High Graduate. He attended Miami Dade Community College and then went overseas to obtain a small animal veterinary degree at Universidad Central del Este in the Dominican Republic. Upon his return to the States, Dr. Iglesias attended Purdue University to concentrate on specialties such as exotic animal medicine. Dr. Iglesias has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 20 years.
Dr. Iglesias has always been very active in the community and established a non-for profit in 2001. Veterinary Care and Human Services provides veterinary care to the pets of the homeless in Dade County. The organization is also involved in various wildlife and conservation projects on a national and international level.
Lois Sargent D.V.M.
Lois Sargent graduated from University of Florida in 1992. She practiced in rural western Pennsylvania for two years before returning to her home in Miami. She studied acupuncture with the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, (IVAS) from 1997-1998 and was certified in 1998. In addition, she studied classical homeopathy with Dr. Richard Pitcairn, DVM from 2000-2001. She also had studied independently the field of traditional Chinese herbal formulas and western herbs. She integrated all these modalities into the treatment of her patients.
Dr. Sargent was a program coordinator of the Miami Dade College Veterinary Technology. She is greatly missed.
